I recently obtained a B.Sc. in Pharmacology and Therapeutics at McGill University. Throughout my studies, I have developed a keen interest in the neuropharmacology of pain and developmental disorders. While studying, I worked part-time for a non-lucrative organism that cared for people with mental disabilities and other pervasive developmental disorders. A strong interest I have acquired involves the refinement of new therapeutic avenues for pain treatment. This interest has led me to work as a research assistant for the SPINE research group (Strategies in Pain Intervention Evaluation) at the Shriners Hospital for Children-Canada, which specializes in pediatric musculoskeletal pain. I am currently beginning my M.Sc. training in the Integrative Program in Neuroscience at McGill University under the supervision of Dr. Catherine Ferland. The project involves patients with chronic pain for whom I will create a psychophysiological pain profile and will work on developing algorithms for pharmacological recommendations.
