Bruce is a psychologist and Associate Professor in the Departments of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Psychiatry, and Pediatrics at the University of Alberta. He also is the staff psychologist in the Pediatric Chronic Pain Clinic at Stollery Children's Hospital. His main research interests are the effects of pain on cognitive function, sleep, and quality of life and the use of novel treatment approaches for children and families. In his spare time he tries to play hockey but mostly spends his time trying to keep up with his wife and children.
