I am an anesthesiologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital and a research fellow in Dr. Tonya Palermo's lab at Seattle Children's Research Institute. I received my medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, in 2002. I completed my anesthesiology residency at Mayo Clinic, Minnesota, and did a pediatric anesthesiology and pain medicine fellowship at Seattle Children’s Hospital. My research interests include the economic costs of chronic childhood pain, and acute pain outcomes after surgery in children.
