Dr. Kenneth Craig is Professor Emeritus of Psychology, Distinguished Scholar in the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies at the University of British Columbia and Editor-in-Chief of Pain Research & Management. His research focuses upon measurement and management of pain in infants, children, and cognitively impaired populations and investigates social, emotional, and developmental factors in pain, nonverbal communication, and socialization of illness behaviour. He has published more than 200 research papers, chapters and edited books and earned a number of awards, including status as a CIHR Senior Investigator, the Canada Council Killam Research Fellowship, the American Pain Society 2002 Jeffrey Lawson Award for Advocacy in Children's Pain Relief, the Canadian Psychological Association Donald O. Hebb Award for Distinguished Contributions to Science and the Distinguished Career Award of the Pain in Childhood Special Interest Group of the International Association for the Study of Pain.
